Barbara Streisand is set to star in 'My Mother's Curse'.
The singer-and-actress will play Seth Rogen's mother in the road trip comedy directed by 'The Proposal' filmmaker Anne Fletcher.
'Cars' writer Dan Fogelman has penned the script for the project, which will also be executive produced by Barbara, Seth and David Ellison.
The film tells the tale of an inventor who goes on the road with his mother to sell his new exciting creation.
No other cast have yet been lined up for the film.
Barbara has won two Oscars in her prestigious career, but has seen her acting career stay quiet in recent years, having only starred in comedies 'Meet The Fockers' and 'Little Fockers' in the last 15 years.
However, she was recently linked to a new cinematic remake of the 1959 musical 'Gypsy', possibly playing Mama Rose opposite Tom Hanks as her love interest Herbie.
'Glee' actress Lea Michele may also have a role in the comedy - which as well as a Broadway show has also been a TV movie starring Bette Midler.
'My Mother's Curse' is set for release in March 2012.
