Britain's Prince William and fiancee Kate Middleton will renovate their home in Wales after marrying in April.
Kenneth Borderwick from Beverly Hills Luxury Interiors is flying in to Britain to meet the couple this month to discuss plans to do up their rustic farmhouse in a "casual and contemporary" fashion.
He said: "I called Prince Charles directly when I heard that William and Kate were getting married.
"I don't know what we're exactly doing yet in terms of design but they want it to be causal and contemporary. It won't be classical or old-fashioned at all.
"They know that the rest of their lives is going to be very traditional and want to let their hair down now with a typical young, newly-wed house."
The kitchen will be a focal point of the house and there are plans to design it with "larger American" fittings.
He told RadarOnline: "Kate loves to cook so we're focusing on the kitchen and fitting it with large American-style appliances."
Discussing the bedroom, Kenneth - who has previously worked with Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey - claims it will have a "boudoir" feel.
He said: "The master suite is going to be lovely for Kate. I like to make a woman's boudoir her sanctuary. It needs to be feminine, young and sexy."
