Yogi Berra Rushed to Hospital

Baseball Legend Hospitalized After Fall

Baseball legend Yogi Berra, 85, was rushed to a hospital on Thursday after tripping in the clubhouse during a New York Yankees' spring training game. According to the team, the former Yankees catcher was in "good spirts", and the hospitalization was strictly a precaution.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said that Berra fell on his backside after one of his sneakers caught the carpet. Paramedics in the clubhouse tended to Berra, who did not want to go to the hospital. Berra eventually complied, however, and was sent to Morton Plant Hospital in an ambulance not long after the fall.

Yogi Berra is a baseball legend of the highest order. A 3-time American League MVP, 13-time World Series champion, and 18-time All-Star, Berra is regarded as one of the greatest catchers of all time. These days, this Hall of Famer is an intructor for the Yankees.
