Seven Mennonite Children Killed in a Blaze

by Daun Lee

Yesterday saw very sad news in Loysville, Pennsylvania when six children died in a fire at their home. The children were in their home watching television while their mother was in the barn milking cows and father was napping in his truck a few miles away. Mennonites are similar to the Amish but don’t shun modern conveniences to the same extent. One 3 year old child alerted her mother of the fire who emerged from the barn to find the house was on fire. Emergency services were called but arrived too late to save seven of the children who died of smoke inhalation. Authorities are not yet clear on what caused the blaze.

House fires can be caused by a number of different things but are often accidental in nature. Things such as faulty wiring or sparks from fireplaces or woodstoves can spark a fire. Even sparks from faulty electrical products can cause fires. People who are harmed by accidental fires can have serious injuries which necessitate medical care and costly bills that an accident attorney can help recoup. Fatalities such as these seven children caused surviving family members a great deal of suffering.

When accidentally injured the retention of an accident attorney can help the victims and survivors attain compensation for their suffering and debt. Though money can’t replace a loved one or make a person healthy it can provide relief from debt. An accident lawyer can assure accidental injury victims that they will be justly compensated.
