Olly Murs wants Nigella date

Olly Murs fancies a date with an older woman so he can stop relying on his mum.

The 'Heart On My Sleeve' hitmaker - who is currently single - admitted "seductive" celebrity chef Nigella Lawson would be his ideal choice of woman to accompany him on a romantic night out.

He exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "Who's that sexy chef? Nigella Lawson - she'd be my ideal woman. I think she's very seductive.

"In fact, if I had an older woman like Nigella I wouldn't have to rely on my mum so much anymore. That's a great plan!"

The 26-year-old singer - who was rumoured to be dating 'X Factor' co-star Stacey Solomon during his time on the show in 2009 - admitted his love life is a little stale at the moment, and he is keen to find a special someone.

Speaking at Heart FM's Have A Heart Appeal last week, Olly added: "There's not much going on romance-wise at the moment. I've got a lot of love for a lot of people, but I haven't got a love interest at all.

"I've always said there's room in my heart for a woman, but nothing has come up. Stacey's all loved-up now so that ship has sailed."

With the help of Olly and a whole host of other celebrities - including Emma Bunton, Matt Cardle and Dame Helen Mirren - the Have A Heart Appeal raised £337,563 for Children's Hospices UK.
