Kelsey Grammer to buy 9.9m apartment

Kelsey Grammer and his new wife Kayte Walsh are looking to buy a $9.9 million apartment in New York's Plaza Hotel.

The couple held their wedding reception in the hotel's lavish Grand Ballroom last year and have fallen in love with the place.

According to the New York Post newspaper, the pair went to view the two-bedroom condominium, which boasts incredible views of Central Park, on Wednesday night (09.03.11).

Kelsey and Virgin flight attendant Kate were accompanied by Charlie Attias - an estate agent with The Corcoran Group - the former 'Frasier' actor's six-year-old son Jude - his child with ex-wife Camille Grammer - and their pet dog.

The newlyweds tied the knot at the Longacre Theater in New York City on February 25, and afterwards they joined their guests - who included actress Anjelica Houston - at the Plaza for the reception.

The party was organized by celebrity event planner Ed Libby who turned the ballroom into a club-themed dance hall with gold lounge furniture and a cocktail bar.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed Kelsey is to become a grandfather.

The 56-year-old actor's daughter Spencer is pregnant with her and her husband James Hesketh's first child.

The 27-year-old actress knew about the pregnancy - which is in its early stages - just before she tied the knot with James on February 11. Her father and Kayte, 29, attended the ceremony.

'Greek' star Spencer is Kelsey's daughter from his first marriage to Doreen Alderman.

He also has an 18-year-old daughter Greer Kandace from his relationship with make-up stylist Barrie Buckner and a second child, nine-year-old daughter Mason, with his ex-wife Camille.
