A 'Britain's Got Talent' finalist is set to try out for this year's 'X Factor'.
Talented 14-year-old drummer Kieran Gaffney - who finished in third place on last year's 'BGT' - is ditching his music skills in the hope of wowing the 'X Factor' judging with his singing skills.
Kieran performed at the first stage of auditions for the upcoming ITV1 series at London's O2 earlier in the week, and show insiders think he is bound to go far in the competition.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Despite being known for his amazing drumming, Kieran's voice was surprisingly good."
However, talented teen Kieran wasn't the only 'Britain's Got Talent' hopeful to attempt a second shot at fame. Husband and wife duo Craig and Deborah Stephens made it through to the second round of 'X Factor' auditions after rapping to Eurythmics track 'Sweet Dreams' under the new band name Saffire.
Who will be on the judging panel for the upcoming series of 'The X Factor' is still very much up in the air, with Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole largely expected to ditch their roles in favour of launching the show Stateside later in the year.
Meanwhile, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue are reportedly having to re-audition for their jobs as judges, while Nicole Scherzinger, Robbie Williams and Lily Allen are believed to be in the running to take up places on the panel.
