Jeff Brazier is keen to swipe Konnie Huq's presenting job on 'The Xtra Factor'.
The 31-year-old TV host - who is currently competing alongside professional skater Isabelle Gauthier in 'Dancing On Ice' - thinks fronting music mogul Simon Cowell's talent search show would be the "perfect job" for him.
He explained to Metro newspaper: "Cowell first used me in 'The X Factor' final and for me I would say that is the perfect job, as I feel I'm best used when I'm mixing with people and getting the best out of the contestants.
"I am kind of at the stage where I want to take on big responsibilities. It is getting close to the period where they start making decisions, I am guessing. I am certainly making the most of my opportunity on 'Dancing On Ice' and the rest is up to Simon Cowell to see who he thinks will be the best person for the job."
Konnie - who was widely criticised after making a string of gaffes on the ITV2 show - recently admitted she is hopeful to front the series once again when it returns later in the year.
The former 'Blue Peter' host said: "I hope to go back to 'The Xtra Factor'. I expected criticism as it was so different to what I have done before."
