Child’s Body Found Near Home of Caylee Anthony Grandparents

The skeletal remains of a young child were found near the grandparent’s home of missing Orlando child Caylee Anthony.

The unidentified body of a child was found in a plastic bag by a utility worker Thursday morning around 9. The bag was located about half a mile from Caylee’s grandparent’s house. There is no indication that the body is that of Caylee, who has been missing since June.

The 3-years-old’s mother Casey Anthony has been charged with murder in her disappearance. She waited a month before reporting her daughter’s disappearance. At the time she claimed she left Caylee at the Orlando apartment of a babysitter. Authorities discovered that the apartment had been vacant for some time and that the babysitter Anthony claimed to use does not exist.

Cadaver dogs have picked up the scent of death in Anthony’s car and in her parent’s back yard. Air quality tests found evidence of human decomposition and chloroform in the trunk of the vehicle.

Authorities have no released details on the body found Thursday morning.
