Tinie Tempah is "experimental" because of his iPod.
The British rapper is influenced by a wide variety of different artists when making music, which he believes is due to the way people listen to their favourite songs by skipping through to the tracks they like.
He said: "I'm very experimental. I like to use lots of influences in my music because I am from the iPod generation - we're used to the shuffle button."
Tinie, 22, is currently lining up a collaboration with Pharrell Williams and has also revealed he would love to duet with Cheryl Cole after they met at last month's BRIT Awards.
He said recently: "I wouldn't rule out a collaboration with Cheryl on my next album. I gave her a quick kiss backstage - it's like, 'Man, I love you.' "
As well as Cheryl, Tinie is keen to write a track with 'Rolling in the Deep' singer Adele, although he admits it's unlikely to happen soon.
He said: "I would love to collaborate with her, it would be absolutely incredible, but it's all about doing it on the right record.
"She's just launched a new album, she's doing a new campaign and her album sounds a very certain way. I can't see her coming away from that any time soon, but given the opportunity I would love to make that happen."
