Matt Cardle wants to "apologise" to Biffy Clyro for covering their track.
The 27-year-old singer - whose version of 'Many Of Horror' went to number one in the UK singles chart following his 'X Factor' win in December last year - admitted while he thinks it's a "cool song", he feels the need to say sorry for changing the name of the track to 'When We Collide'.
He told BANG Showbiz: "What a cool song, I couldn't believe it when I got the chance to sing that and it was good for Biffy because I got their track to number one. I can't see how they wouldn't like the extra publicity that came with it.
"But obviously, I've got to apologise for the key change and the name change, but then that's 'The X Factor', isn't it? There's going to be a key change in there somewhere. Simon Cowell does love a key change."
The 27-year-old star also revealed he has started work on his debut album, which features a number of tracks he wrote before he shot to fame on 'The X Factor'.
Matt added: "We've got about eight sketches planned out at the moment. We've been writing and it was going really well but then the tour started so we've had to put the breaks on.
"We've been co-writing everything and a lot of the songs we've come up with has been bits of things I've worked on before."
