Ant and Dec's Comic Relief gatecrashing

Ant and Dec will "gatecrash" as many TV and radio shows as possible in a bid to raise money for Comic Relief.

As part of their Big Red Nose Broadcast event, the TV duo - who will appear in various unexpected places as they make their way across the country's media studios - turned up on ITV1 breakfast show 'Daybreak' this morning (14.03.11) and convinced hosts Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley to give away their famous purple sofa.

Arriving in the 'Daybreak' studio, Ant said: "Sorry, can we interrupt. We hate to gatecrash, but we're here because we've got a very special Comic Relief challenge going on.

"It's our Big Red Nose Broadcast event, and basically we're getting on as many TV and radio shows as possible to spread the word about Comic Relief this Friday (18.03.11) and try to raise some money. and we're nicking stuff basically, we're nicking stuff for auction.

"We're going to ask everybody we bump into if we can have something. And you're going to start the ball rolling."

Christine and Adrian offered their shoes but after being told that wasn't enough, they gave away the sofa - but said they could only have it after they finish filming on Friday.

Dec said: "Thank you, that's a brilliant start . and some lovely shoes as well."

Later in the programme, Ant and Dec gatecrashed Lorraine Kelly's dressing room, where the Scottish presenter offered her tartan underwear for auction.
