Cher Lloyd has accused Cheryl Cole of deserting her following last year's 'X Factor'.
The wannabe singer - who was mentored by the 'Promise This' hitmaker during the series - thought the duo had bonded and feels she has been let down by Cheryl, who is currently busy trying to crack America.
She fumed: "Cheryl hasn't been on touch at all. She is more interested in becoming famous in the States. I've been left high and dry. I thought we were mates."
However, a spokesman for Cheryl - who is currently trying to secure herself a job on the US version of the ITV1 show - insisted the 27-year-old beauty had never promised anything to Cher once the show was over.
He told the Daily Star newspaper: "The judges do not continue to mentor the contestants after the show. They all have their own management teams who look after them."
This is not the first time Cheryl has come under fire for deserting her acts.
Last month, it was claimed Cheryl hadn't made contact with Cher and her other acts, Rebecca Ferguson, Katie Waissel and Treyc Cohen, following the final of the talent show in December.
This is despite Cheryl's fellow judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Dannii Minogue remaining in close contact with their respective acts, boyband One Direction, Irish diva Mary Byrne and winner Matt Cardle.
Mary explained: "Matt has heard from Dannii, I'm sure the boys have been in touch with Simon, but I know Cheryl hasn't been in touch with any of the girls."
