Lindsay Lohan quits smoking

Lindsay Lohan has quit smoking.

The troubled actress - who completed a three-month court-ordered programme at the Betty Ford rehabilitation clinic in January - is determined to follow a new healthier lifestyle since her release and has been working out with a personal trainer every morning after giving up the habit a week ago.

While Lindsay has until March 25 to decide whether to accept a plea bargain for six months jail time after being accused of grand theft felony regarding a $2,500 necklace from jewellers Kamofie & Company, Lynwood Correctional Facility - where has previously served time after breaching the terms of probation set for her 2007 driving under the influence (DUI) conviction - is a non-smoking facility.

Meanwhile, Lindsay, 24, has recently been granted permission by the court to leave Los Angeles and travel to New York with her family.

She was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) yesterday (13.03.11) with her mother Dina Lohan and sister Ali.

The Lohan family home - where Dina lives with Ali, 17, and her other children, Cody, 14, and 23-year-old Michael Jr. with ex-husband Michael Lohan - is situated in Long Island and Dina revealed the family are delighted the actress has been allowed to leave California to return home with them for a holiday.

She said: "We are all excited that the family gets to all be together in New York."

However, the 'Machete' star was less excited to arrive in New York, tweeting about the hordes of paparazzi who greeted her at JFK airport.

She wrote: "love ny - but the paparazzi @ jfk just gave me an anxiety attack. i was half asleep! they're such animals :( well - @ least im with my family in the end... xo. (sic)"
