Police Find Something of Interest in Caylee Anthony Grandparents Home

Several hours after the skeleton of a young child was found a half a mile from the home of missing toddler Caylee Anthony’s grandparents, investigators obtained a warrant and searched the Anthony’s home.

Orange County sheriff Kevin Beary said the search uncovered “absolutely” something of interest.

The child’s remains were found in a plastic bag Thursday by a utility worker. There is no indication that the body is that of Caylee. The remains have been taken to a medical examiner’s office for identification and evidence.

Caylee, 3, disappeared in June but her mother, Casey Anthony, waited a month to report her missing. Casey, 22, was charged with first-degree murder last month. Cadaver dogs have picked up the scent of death in Anthony’s car and in her parent’s back yard. Air quality tests found evidence of human decomposition and chloroform in the trunk of the vehicle.
