School Bus Crash in Nepal Kills 22, More than 50 Injured

A school bus carrying nearly 100 students and teachers plunged off a highway bridge on Thursday killing at least 22 people and injuring more than 50.

The bus had been carrying the students and teachers back from a school picnic when it skidded off the bridge near village of Mukundapur. According to reports 20 of those killed were students, all believed to be teenagers.

Police have said the bus was speeding when the accident occurred.
