Emmerdale's Zak Dingle decides to get his revenge when his wife's rapist is let off the hook.
The furious farmer - played by Steve Halliwell - will take matters into his own hands when police fail to prosecute evil Derek Benrose (Stephen Bent) for committing the attack on Lisa (Jane Cox) while the pair were working overtime in the chocolate factory.
Determined to get the justice he feels he and his wife deserve, Zak confronts the unsuspecting factory worker at his home and threatens to brutally smash his face in with a piece of wood.
However, Lisa - who is determined to move on from the tragic incident - arrives on the scene in the nick of time and manages to persuade Zak not to hurt Derek.
An 'Emmerdale' insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "She is just as upset as Zak but she doesn't want to see her husband banged up for assault."
Actress Jane recently admitted while her terrified alter-ego was initially desperate to keep the attack a secret, when she eventually confessed all to Zak she opened a "whole new can of worms".
She said: "I don't think she could have gone much longer in that situation alone. The burden has been like a volcano ready to erupt, so there's definitely a sense of relief. But Lisa has opened a whole new can of worms."
