Beverley Callard is "looking forward" to leaving 'Coronation Street'.
The 53-year-old actress - who plays bolshie barmaid Liz McDonald in the ITV1 soap - is feeling positive about ending her current run on the show because she wants to spend more time with her husband Jon.
She said: "As much as I love working on 'Coronation Street', I'm looking forward to leaving again so I can spend time with Jon.
"I can't wait to cook him dinner like a proper housewife, instead of getting home at 11pm exhausted. And enjoy a lie in followed by breakfast in bed!"
However, Beverley - who has portrayed Liz on and off for the past 25 years - is also excited about forthcoming episodes of the soap in which she stars alongside her former on-screen husband Jim, played by Charlie Lawson.
She added to the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I can't give too much away, but Jim basically turns up when Liz needs him the most. He's her knight in shining armour and we have the most amazing chemistry.
"I've loved working with Charlie again. We're like the Liz Taylor and Richard Burton of the street!"
