A British teacher had to ring in sick after being bitten by a crocodile.
Scott Brand, 21, told Cumnor House School in Sussex that he needed a couple of days off after he was attacked by the beast during a holiday to his native Zimbabwe.
The accident happened after he and some friends decided to go "croc wrestling" in Lake Kariba.
He said: "I saw a four-foot long croc and just jumped in and grabbed it. It went nuts and was really going for me and it eventually got a hold of my left arm and bit down. It was bloody sore, but I got back on land and just poured some vodka over it and bandaged it up."
The daredevil added that the bite had earned him a newfound respect amongst his colleagues and pupils.
He said: "Everyone at school, the headmaster, kids and other teachers, were shocked and couldn't believe I had been bitten by a crocodile. Everyone is calling me croc bait or Mick Dundee now."
