Heat Beat Spurs by 30 Points

On Monday night, the Miami Heat obliterated the San Antonio Spurs 110-80. The game seemed like the perfect reply from the Heat. Having lost to the Spurs by 30 points in San Antonio less than two weeks ago, the Heat beat the Spurs in Miami by 30. Further, the Heat were able to avenge their worst loss of the season by handing the Spurs their worst loss of the season. In fact, it was the biggest regular-season loss for the Spurs since 2005, when they lost 68-104 to the Dallas Mavericks.

"We made a lot of shots in San Antonio and they made a lot of shots here," said Spurs coach Gregg Popovich. "What goes around comes around."

"It's huge for us, really, just getting even with this team," said Heat forward Chris Bosh. "They beat us pretty good and I'm happy that we were able to respond by playing a complete game tonight. But at the same time, it is just one game."

Bosh led both teams in scoring and rebounds with 30 and 12, respectively. Dwyane Wade put up 29 points and 2 blocks. LeBron James contributed 21 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds.

Having won their last three games, the Heat are now within two games of the Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls, both of whom currently lead the Eastern Conference.

"They needed the game more than us," said Spurs guard Manu Ginobli. "They were more upset than us and they are a great team. We are not playing against a second-division team in Asia. We are talking about the Heat."

"We were in attack mode," said James. "We were in attack all night."
