Nicole Scherzinger's distance relationship struggle

Nicole Scherzinger finds long-distance relationships "really hard".

The former Pussycat Dolls singer - who has been dating Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton for the past three years - admitted it can be difficult conducting their romance across continents.

She explained: "I'm not gonna lie, it's really hard. But if it's worth it, you make it work. We just do our best by sending lots of emails and Skyping."

Despite having to go for weeks without seeing her boyfriend, Nicole insists it is worth it because she has such a deep "connection" with British-born Lewis.

She said: "It's finding someone you really connect with and who makes you laugh. He takes me away from all the hardships when life's stressful. It's definitely nice to have a partner to be able to do that with."

The 'Don't Hold Your Breath' hitmaker also admitted sex isn't everything in a relationship.

She told more! magazine: "Sex is important, but I think the soulful connection is most important. If you don't have that then the sex doesn't mean anything."
