Matthew Williamson slates Kate Middleton's style

Matthew Williamson is not impressed with Kate Middleton's style.

Although the future princess - who will marry Britain's Prince William in Westminster Abbey on April 29 - has been praised for her fashion credentials, the British designer admitted he doesn't understand what all the fuss is about and is not excited about her wedding dress.

He told Britain's Daily Telegraph: "Kate isn't a fashion bunny. I don't know why everyone in fashion is waiting to see what she wears. I'm, like, thinking: get over it."

While Sarah Burton at Alexander McQueen and Bruce Oldfield have both been tipped to create 29-year-old Kate's wedding gown, Matthew revealed he is not disappointed to have missed out, saying designing the dress is not his "thing".

Speaking about Kate's dress, a Clarence House spokesperson has said: "We have no announcement to make as regards the royal wedding dress. Miss Middleton would like for it to be a surprise for Prince William on the day of their wedding and as such we may not announce it until the day. That may change - but for now that is all that can be said.

"April 29 will be very much their day and they are involved in every aspect of all the decisions being made about how the day will work. It's a complicated process and it takes time."
