Christina Aguilera is "looking forward to getting moved" by contestants on 'The Voice'
The 'Keeps Getting Better' singer is a panellist on new the singing TV series - where judges chose who to mentor after hearing only their voices rather than seeing them perform - and believes her role is about providing positivity, rather than the criticism dealt to hopefuls on other reality shows.
She told Entertainment Weekly magazine: "There is no good and bad. This isn't about tearing people down. I want to bring these people up.
"Instinctually, you can judge people based on the way they look. I love that fact we get to sit here with our backs turned away from these people, I'm looking forward to getting moved."
The 30-year-old star - who was arrested earlier this month for public intoxication - has also vowed to be "completely involved" with 'The Voice', and is going to join micro-blogging site twitter to be as involved as possible with the programme.
She added: "We're looking to get more involved with people starting out just like we did.
"We're not just making commentary and then going home. We're getting completely involved. I wish there was a show like this when I was starting. I'm ready to share it all."
Christina will judge the contestants alongside Maroon 5 star Adam Levine, Cee Lo Green and country singer Blake Shelton.
The winner will receive a £100,000 recording contract.
