Johnny Depp has been named Hat Person of the Year.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star - who is frequently pictured wearing a fedora - beat off competition from No Doubt singer Gwen Stefani and actor Hugh Jackman, who were placed second and third placed respectively in the online poll carried out by the Headwear Association.
A spokesperson for the group said: "Depp is rarely seen without a hat, and prefers wide brim fedoras.
"The shape is enjoying quite a heyday right now; similar styles can be seen on 'Mad Men', 'The Adjustment Bureau' and wider brimmed fedoras were seen on the Paris, Milan and NY runways."
Also making the list were Justin Timberlake, Kate Hudson and Nicole Richie, who came fourth, fifth and sixth.
Last year, Brad Pitt topped the poll for making the newspaperboy's cap fashionable.
The 103-year-old Headwear Association exists to "promote hat wearing and the headwear industry throughout the world and to foster goodwill and fellowship among those engaged in the headwear industry."
