Corrie's Norris Cole to ruin sham wedding?

Coronation Street's Norris Cole could be set to put the brakes on Graeme and Xin's sham wedding.

The busybody pensioner - played by Malcolm Hebden - will find out the fake couple are only planning on tying the knot to secure a visa for Chinese-born Xin (Elizabeth Tan), and will be even more shocked when he realises Graeme's gorgeous girlfriend Tina McIntyre (Michelle Keegan) is in on the secret too.

Michelle told BANG Showbiz: "Norris finds out about it being a big sham so Tina has to get to the church before Norris opens his mouth. You know what he's like - he just loves a bit of gossip and drama!

"She wasn't even supposed to be at the wedding so she has to pretend she's there to save face and wish them well. It's her boyfriend and her best friend so she has to make out she's there to support them both."

However, it could end up being Tina who puts a halt to the nuptials, as the brunette bombshell will find it increasingly difficult having to see her boyfriend Graeme (Craig Gazey) and her best friend pretend to be a happy couple.

Speaking at last night's (16.03.11) Royal Television Society Awards at London's Grosvenor House Hotel, Michelle added: "Things aren't going well for Tina in the run-up to the wedding. She's getting really jealous of Xin. She loves Graeme so much and although the wedding is a massive scam, she's not enjoying another girl moving in on her man.

"She just wants it to all be over and done with so they can get married, get the visa for Xin and that's the end of it.

"We'll have to wait and see whether her jealousy gets too much and she stops the wedding altogether. But with it being Corrie there's bound to be plenty of drama."
