NFL Scores Week 15: Indianapolis Colts Keep Detroit Lions Winless, Capture Seventh Straight

Peyton Manning was 28/37 passing for 318 yards and a touchdown, Dominic Rhodes collected 86 yards rushing and a pair of TDs and Dallas Clark had 142 yards receiving and a score as the Indianapolis Colts (10-4) dropped the Detroit Lions (0-14) 31-21 on Sunday for their seventh straight win.

Rhodes gave the Colts a 7-0 lead in the first quarter with a one-yard touchdown run in the opening quarter but Jason Hanson put the Lions on the board with a 51-yard field goal to trail 7-3 heading into the second.

Chad Simpson boosted the Colts lead to 14-3 on a 2-yard run but Detroit had an answer as Dan Orlovsky found Calvin Johnson on a 33-yard touchdown pass to cut the Lions deficit to 14-10 with 3:36 left in the half. Manning then led the Colts down the field and hit Clark on a 3-yard toss with 47 seconds left to carry a 21-10 lead into the locker room.

Detroit cut into the Indy lead with a Hanson field goal in the third and then tied the game at 21-21 in the fourth when Kevin Smith scored on a one-yard run and the Lions converted their two-point opportunity.

Indy responded with a drive of their own though and Rhodes capped it with his second one-yard TD run and Adam Vinatieri sealed the game with a 31-yard field goal in the closing seconds.
