The experimental rock band TV on the Radio announced that their bassist, Gerard Smith has lung cancer. The announcement appeared on their website Monday. The band who just finished their new album ‘Nine Points of Light’ is embarking on a spring tour, and are slated to perform at the South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin, Texas which begin this weekend. Smith has been with the band since 2005 but will be taking time off of the tour to undergo treatment.
Lung cancer claims the lives of many people across the globe. Lung cancers come in many different forms, and are the number one killer of people who contract cancer.
