Sandwich queen Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst makes great peanut butter and jam sandwiches.

The 'Spider-Man' actress used to babysit for Kendall Schmidt, a member of rising boy band Big Time Rush, and he told how she was always very attentive when she looked after him.

He told BANG Showbiz: "I grew up and I've been in the acting community since I was six, so Kirsten Durst used to babysit me and I've known Hilary Duff since I was really young.

"Kirsten, I remember she had glasses and she wore overalls, she had red hair and glasses. I remember she used to make a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich, definitely."

His bandmate, James Maslow, cheekily joked: "I wish I had Kirsten Dunst as a babysitter! She got you into bed ... only, it was when you were six years old!"

Despite mixing with future celebrities at a young age, Kendall insists his life wasn't glamorous.

He added: "Christina Milian used to babysit me too, but she wasn't 'Christina Milian' then, we were all just struggling actors and singers it didn't mean anything."

Big Time Rush's debut single 'Boyfriend', featuring Snoop Dogg, is out now, and the band play  their debut UK show on gig on April 19 at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire in London. For tickets visit http://www.livenation.co.uk/artist/big-time-rush-tickets
