A woman in New Mexico is suing a restaurant after she unintentionally pierced her tongue while eating there.
Ashley Phillips, 23, was consuming mashed potatoes at a branch of the chain Chili's when she pulled a needle from her mouth.
She says although it went right through her tongue staff took it away and refused to give it back to her and her husband for testing.
They decided to sue because it took 52 days for the company to send the needle to a laboratory to test for infections such as HIV, during which time Ashley was unable to nurse her baby.
