Sexual assault, abuse and harassment, despite all the progresses of women’s empowerment, still occur in alarming numbers. Women are not the sole victims of various sexual abuses, men to are prey to sexual predators. Most abuse and assaults are crimes and are prosecutable offenses which law enforcement agencies pursue vehemently. Not all sexual assaults result in the death of the victim but cause much physical and emotional harm to the victims.

Sexual harassment is a problem in the workplace and on many college campuses. This type of harassment is against the law but is generally rectified by sexual harassment lawyers in civil courts. As many as 40 percent of women in the workplace have reported being sexually harassed by peers or superiors but can obtain justice by employing a sexual harassment attorney. The hostility and tension created by unwanted sexual advances and comments is detrimental to any working environment but the victims can be assured that sexual harassment lawyers will alleviate the situation.
