Wes Craven: 'Scream 4 will leave audiences wanting more'

Wes Craven thinks 'Scream 4' will leave audiences "wanting more".

The director - who cast a number of new characters in the forthcoming sequel, with actresses Emma Roberts and Hayden Panettiere taking lead roles - has seen the final cut of the horror movie and thinks fans won't be disappointed by the film.

He wrote on twitter: "Just finished the mix and watched the film. Mark my words -- SCREAM4 kicks ass and will leave you wanting more. @Scream4 (sic)"

Meanwhile, Emma has revealed she often found herself "spooked out" on the set of the film, which also brings back old characters including Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox).

She told Elle magazine: "There were times when we were filming in a weird house at 2am and I'd get really spooked out

"But what I've always loved about the 'Scream' girls is that they'll have you terrified one moment and laughing the next."

'Scream 4' is set for release in April.
