Kelly Brook is "unbelievably happy" at the prospect of becoming a mother.
The 31-year-old model-and-actress revealed earlier this week she and her boyfriend Thom Evans, 25, are expecting their first daughter together and the brunette beauty's family are thrilled by the news.
Sandra Parsons said: "We've known for a long time. Kelly phoned from America just before Christmas. She was unbelievably happy. It's lovely, we are thrilled."
Kelly's grandmother Ann added: "I'm sure she will have an attractive baby with their good looks."
The 'Piranha 3D' star has been dating former Scottish rugby player Thom for around five months and her family think he is good for her.
Sandra - whose husband, Kelly's father Ken, died in 2007 - said: "Thom's great. They're very sweet together and make a lovely couple."
Meanwhile, Kelly's ex-boyfriend Danny Cipriani - who she dated for 21 months until last June - has revealed he is "really happy" for his former lover.
The England rugby player said: "Kelly told me in January that she was expecting. I'm really happy for her. She will be a great mum."
Kelly announced her pregnancy on twitter earlier this week.
In a posting, she wrote: "Thom and I are happy to announce we are expecting a baby girl. We are delighted XXXX."
