Teen Camp Delivers Academic Results

Studies show that high school students across the U.S. have improved their grades following a 10-day summer camp that teaches academic skills.

SuperCamp's teen summer camps are proven to help improve students' performance in school and prepare them for college. Studies with over 6,000 SuperCamp graduates reveal that 73 percent of them reported an increase in grades following the 10-day teen camp.

The teen summer camp recently announced its line-up of summer camp programs for 2009 and, once again, they will be held at eight colleges across the U.S. The locations include Stanford, Cornell, Wake Forest, Drake, Colorado College, the University of Washington, Claremont Colleges and Cal State San Marcos.

At SuperCamp, students are encouraged and empowered to take the risk of moving out of their comfort zones, which helps them academically and in life. With the right encouragement, students become willing to venture out of their comfort zone, in spite of their internal voice that tries to hold them back.

Students who attend one of SuperCamp's academic summer camps also learn foundations for communication and personal interaction, known as the 8 Keys of Excellence. One of the keys is called Ownership, which teaches campers about taking responsibility for one's actions. Students learn there are two ways to live: Above the Line or Below the Line. Those who Live Above the Line gain greater personal and academic success because they take ownership for their current situation.

The learning skills students acquire in the 10-day teen summer camp include how to increase reading speed and comprehension, how to study for and take tests, how to memorize facts, how to problem solve, creative writing and critical thinking.

The camp is offering early enrollment savings to parents who enroll their teens by December 31. More information on the camp is available at www.supercamp.com and by calling 800-285-3276.
