Quantum Learning's professional staff development and advanced student training within the Cypress Fairbanks school district in Texas has reached a five-year milestone. Cypress Fairbanks is one of the largest school districts in Texas with over 6,500 teachers and close to 100,000 students.
All secondary math teachers have been trained in Quantum Learning for Teachers and close to 2,000 students have experienced the Quantum Learning for Students math mastery workshop in preparation for the TAKS test. Teachers comment that it’s fun to hear students so positively shouting the workshop mantra – “C’mon, give me that test!” – and know that they are prepared to succeed on the test.
Quantum Learning's impact is seen throughout Texas with teacher workshops and other educator and student training. Dumas ISD is a special school district in the panhandle of Texas where district leaders, school administrators, and teachers work together to promote academic and life achievement for their students, and they “Expect Success!”
Quantum Learning was first introduced into Dumas ISD by Bob Callahan, principal at Dumas High School. Bob is an amazing principal and real champion of Quantum Learning instructional methodology in his school. He has also hosted Quantum Learning for Students for his incoming freshmen. Mark Stroebel, Assistant Superintendent in Dumas, is a true visionary leader who is committed to making great kids greater in Dumas!
Sealy ISD came on board with Quantum Learning for Teachers training in early 2008 and hasn’t looked back since. Educators across the district have begun training and this summer many teachers completed the first five levels of the Quantum Learning for Teachers staff development training. It’s exciting to see such commitment on the part of the district to bring great training to their teachers and administrators. Quantum Learning appreciates their partnership with Sealy ISD and the great teachers there.
