Charlie Sheen to perform in Haiti

Charlie Sheen is taking his tour to Haiti.

The former 'Two and a Half Men' actor has teamed up with close pal Sean Penn - who has been undertaking work in the Caribbean nation since it was stricken by two earthquakes last year - and plans to take his 'Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not An Option' tour to the region, with all proceeds being donated to charity.

According to gossip website TMZ, the show will be Charlie's last on the tour, which is estimated to generate an estimated $7 million profit.

Charlie - who is believed to be in negotiations to return to 'Two and a Half Men' - recently revealed he wanted to work in Haiti alongside Sean.

He said: "We're going to do a couple things first and then it looks like we're heading down [to Haiti]. And I'm excited as hell because, you know, if I can bring the attention of the world down there, then clearly this tsunami keeps cresting."

In a recent interview, Sean defended his friend, revealing he believes Charlie simply wants the world to "lighten" up.

He said: "When you divorce the moral judgments, which I prefer to do, I see a guy who has a clearer view of the nature of the world around him than is sometimes comfortable to have. Those are the sort of people who have a tendency to find altered states. But he's a very ironic character. He's got pretension in the crosshairs of his wit. I think to a large degree he's saying, 'Guys, we're only going to be here once, so lighten the f**k up.' "
