Muse, The Strokes and MCR to headline Reading and Leeds

Muse, The Strokes and My Chemical Romance will headline this year's Reading and Leeds festivals.

The three acts were unveiled this evening (21.03.11) as topping the bill for this year's music event, which takes place at the two sites on August 26-28.

Muse will close proceedings at Reading, taking the final slot of the weekend, two days after they perform in Leeds, with acts including Elbow, Interpol, Friendly Fires and The View also taking to the stage.

Meanwhile, The Strokes will perform on the main stage at Reading on Saturday and Leeds on Sunday, with reformed Britpop group Pulp taking the slot straight before them, and legendary US rockers Jane's Addiction headlining the second stage. Madness, Jimmy Eat World and The National will also appear.

Joining My Chemical Romance in Reading on the Friday and Leeds on Saturday will be 30 Seconds To Mars, The Offspring, Deftones, Rise Against and Bring Me The Horizon.

Other acts scheduled to perform across the weekend include 30 Seconds To Mars, Pete Doherty, The Offspring, Deftones, Rise Against and Bring Me The Horizon.
