Johnson Beharry found training for 'Dancing On Ice' more nerve-wracking than performing on live TV.
The war hero - who became the latest star to be eliminated from the show after losing out in the skate-off to Chloe Madeley last night (21.03.11) - revealed he loved skating in front of a crowd, despite never having skated before the competition.
He explained: "On the night is the most relaxed night for me. Training, I was more nervous than actually performing on the night.
"Bear in mind I've never seen ice before - the only time I've seen ice was in my drinks - so coming from the island of Grenada we don't have ice rinks. I was given a pair of skates to put on and I was like, what am I going to do with this? I've never seen one before."
Johnson's professional skating partner Jodeyne Higgins also praised the Victoria Cross winner's bravery and "inspirational" attitude.
She added to ITV1's 'Daybreak': "I'm so proud of him, I really am. I know I keep saying it but he's inspired my life, but I think more importantly, he's helped heal himself and he's going to be able to help many others around the world just by doing what he's been doing and through his experiences.
"He's truly an inspiration to many."
