Police confiscate CD collection

A British man had his stereo and CD player confiscated by police after he wouldn't stop playing a Whitney Houston record.

The unnamed music lover drove his Folkstone neighbours to despair by repeatedly playing his limited music collection which included rap songs and Whitney's hit 'I'm Every Woman.'

After he ignored a noise abatement notice police were forced to break down his door and take away his CD player.

Liam Flannery, an environmental health officer for Shepway District Council, said: "It must have been a nightmare for the other people living there."

"Unfortunately, the man concerned didn't have an extensive CD collection so it was the same few songs, from gangsta rap to girly love songs like 'I'm Every Woman', over and over again."

"We've got his stuff now and the warrant's open, so if he buys any more we'll take that too."
