Kate Middleton's parents Carole and Michael are hoping to purchase the home of Britain's Prince William's step-mother, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall.
The couple have viewed the £5 million Bolehyde Manor near Chippenham, Wiltshire, having lived in their current five-bedroom detached house near Reading for more than 20 years, according to the Daily Mail.
The 14th century home in Wiltshire is home to the Earl and Countess Cairns - who purchased it from Camilla 25 years ago - and features three cottages, 11 bedrooms, 70 acres of land, a tennis court, a swimming pool and a rumoured ghost.
However the couple - who run their mail-order party planning business from their current estate - have yet to put in a formal offer having visited in December, a month after Kate's engagement to William was announced.
Camilla and her former husband Andrew Parker Bowles purchased the home in 1973, and Prince Charles was thought to be a regular visitor.
It is just 16 miles from Highgrove estate, one of the Prince of Wales' country residences.
