School administrators in the midwest can gain valuable leadership training at Quantum Learning's one-day program on February 27 entitled A Motivated School: Quantum Learning and Leadership in Practice.
This program is an Illinois Administration Academy course and will be held at National-Louis University in Elgin, Illinois. The program guides school administrators, particularly principals and assistant principals, in developing a new definition of leadership designed to stimulate greater leadership capacity and orchestrate sustainable motivation throughout the educational organization using the Quantum Learning System. The goal of this program is to give school administrators new tools for improving leadership through the use of specific initiatives that will upgrade both staff and student motivation and performance.
Participants will learn and gain strategies for the application of a new working definition of leadership that includes positive modeling, positive motivation, and the implementation of specific school initiatives.
Participants also will learn and identify specific distinctions between leadership and administration in the educational organization and discover how this relationship can directly influence school improvement in their organization.
Participants will be shown the concept of durable or sustainable motivation and discover specific systemic and personal leadership initiatives that are effective for raising the level of motivation in the entire educational organization.
The four leadership connections for improving the effectiveness of an educational organization will be explored. These include the context connection, cognitive connection, character connection, and the classroom connection. Participants understand how these connections influence balanced leadership and have a new repertoire of leadership initiatives for each connection. Participants are motivated and excited to apply these leadership initiatives in their own school organization.
Quantum Learning provides professional staff development training and teacher workshops to educators across the U.S., as well as student training that addresses such issues as raising state test scores.
