Graduates in Germany have invented a tricycle powered solely by screwdrivers.
The EX, made with two portable 18V Bosch electric screwdrivers, was inspired by a skeleton holding in its organs, say Sebastian Auray, Nils Ferber, Ruben Faber and Ludolf von Oldershausen who studied at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg.
The 20kg vehicle, which is driven in a headlong position, can reach speeds of nearly 20mph.
Nils said: "It's definitely not the best vehicle for long distances but is a lot of fun to drive.
"Using screwdrivers was actually part of the challenge. They are well known as handy but not too powerful tools and everyone has used one at some time.
"So what the EX is trying to prove is that it doesn't need huge engines and a lot of horsepower to move a person around. Compared to an ordinary car, the EX's engines are tiny but its still exiting and fun to drive it."
