Jason Gardiner has blasted Johnson Beharry's 'Dancing On Ice' performance from Sunday's (21.03.11) semi-final as "boring".
The famously acid-tongued panellist is delighted that the war hero - who was partnered alongside Jodeyne Higgins - missed out on a place in next week's final after losing in the skate-off to Chloe Madeley because he thinks he is unable to compete at the highest level.
He said: "His first routine was very dull and boring - the same thing we've seen week after week. Sunday was not a semi-final performance. His solo routine was incredibly basic. He looked unstable on his feet.
"He was concentrating on staying upright and everything else fell by the wayside. Very underwhelming."
While Jason admitted Chloe - daughter of presenting duo Richard and Judy Finnegan - is a "little battler" he is unsure if she has what it takes to win the ITV1 competition.
He added: "Although she lacks the presentations skills and panache of others her innocence and the fact she gives her best means she deserves her place in the final. She is the outsider but is unpredictable."
The Australian choreographer - who is joined on the 'Dancing On Ice' judging panel by Emma Bunton and Robin Cousins - thinks former 'EastEnders' star Sam Attwater or children's TV presenter Laura Hamilton deserve to win the show.
Jason added to The Sun newspaper: "I always hoped Sam would be a finalist, he deserves to be there while Laura has always been a favourite."
