Lean Cuisine Meals Recalled Because of Foreign Materials

by Daun Lee

Over 10,000 pounds of frozen Lean Cuisine meals have been recalled by the Nestle Company due to the presence of foreign materials. In the spaghetti and meatballs meals inspectors found pieces of hard plastic. The Dept. of Agriculture said that the health risk is minimal but to minimize the risks of harm, the meals which were distributed many states should be thrown out if a person purchased these meal with lot number EST 7991.

In spite of the minimal health risk, ingestion of a foreign material such as the hard plastic in these meals has the potential for causing injury. The pieces could get lodged in the soft tissue of the internal organs which could have long term ramifications. Across the US people can be accidentally injured by various foods that are consumed or defective products which are used in the home. These defective products can leave people with injuries that cause people to incur medical debt and lost wages. Businesses that are careless can be held accountable for their negligence by the employ of an accident lawyer in the courts.

People who have been harmed by another’s negligence can seek compensation along with car accident attorneys. The pain of and debt of accidental injury victims can be immense and impede the recovery process unless the expertise of a car accident lawyer is employed to seek compensation for their suffering. Though the current Nestle recall hasn’t harmed anyone, there are past incidents of defective products that have harmed numerous people.
