Barack Obama Inauguration to Include Aretha Franklin, Yo-Yo Ma, Itzhak Perlman and Gabriela Montero

The program for Barack Obama’s Presidential Inauguration was released on Wednesday and performers will include some of the most recognizable names in the music world as soul-singer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Aretha Franklin, Grammy Award winning cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Kennedy Center Honors recipient and renowned violinist Itzhak Perlman and Venezuelan-born piano virtuoso Gabriela Montero.

Apart from the music world the Obama Inauguration program will also include Pastor Rick Warren, senior pastor at the United States fourth largest church Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California; civil rights leader Rev. Joseph Lowery; and Pulitzer Prize finalist Elizabeth Alexander who will compose a poem for the Inauguration.

The U.S Navy and Marine bands will also be part of the ceremonies.

Barack Obama’s Inauguration will be held at noon on Jan. 20 and he will be sworn in by Chief Justice John Roberts.
