Explosion Injures 20 At Jerusalem Bus Stop

Over a dozen people were hurt Wednesday when a bomb exploded at a bus stop in Jerusalem. Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch told reporters the bomb was hidden in a bag and left at the bus stop. The blast occurred as a bus stopped to pick up passengers.

Authorities say at least 20 people, including 2 pregnant women, were injured. Emergency services spokesman Zaki Heller reported 3 people are in serious condition. There were no causalities.

Mayor Nir Barkat said security forces will work to bring those behind the attack to justice. "Israel and Jerusalem are relatively very safe recently," he told CNN. "This is something that happens rarely, and we hope to keep it that way."
