First-Ever Event in Heber Springs, Arkansas

The first-ever Workamper Rendezvous will be held in Heber Springs, Arkansas April 26-28, 2011 with a “Bonus Day” on April 29th added to the schedule.

Those that are serious about learning how to maintain and repair their RV, have an opportunity to do so by attending the Workamper Rendezvous April 26-28, 2011 and then sign up for an Eight Hour special Bonus Day Seminar on April 29,2011. For those more interested in sprucing up a Resume or need Interview Coaching should sign up for that seminar.  Both seminars take place after the close of the Workamper Rendezvous in Heber Springs, AR.

Master RV Repair Specialist Terry Cooper’s will give his One Day Seminar on April 29th.  This eight-hour course will enable the RV owner to save time and possibly thousands of dollars by making simple repairs and performing maintenance on an RV throughout its’ lifetime.

The second choice for the Bonus Day is a seminar offered by Jaimie Hall Bruzenak. Jaimie is a popular author and experienced RV enthusiast who just released the Third Edtion of Support Your RV Lifestyle 2011.  She will offer a Resume Makeover and Interview Coaching session on April 29th.  Jaimie will be available for individual one-on-one resume makeover sessions, including creating a Workamper resume suitable for printing, an Awesome Applicant Resume for posting online as a member of Workamper News; and a third Resume formatted for email.  The session will also include an interview coaching session which will prepare the Workamper for Employer interviews.

The First-Ever Workamper Rendezvous will be held in Heber Springs, Arkansas, home to Workamper News. The event is scheduled April 26-28, 2011 with eleven seminars to be held at the Heber Springs Community Center in comfortable classrooms. The expected 225 attendees will have time to network and have fun while camping at the beautiful Corps of Engineers campgrounds around Greers Ferry Lake. Workamper News will provide entertainment the first night along with a dessert-potluck.  Several meals are also included in the price of the event, including finger-likin’ good Arkansas barbeque.

“We have made the event very affordable especially to attract those that have never experienced the Workamper lifestyle.  The concept has worked, as quite a number of those who have never worked while living in an RV have signed up for the Rendezvous,”  says Steve Anderson, President of Workamper News. “We call them ‘Workamper Dreamers,’ and we even have a membership level and website for them,” Steve adds.

The highlight of the Event will be getting together with like-minded individuals who will share their experiences of enjoying America, one job at a time. Workampers can learn how they can make a difference in America by volunteering as they live in their RV.  Roundtable events have been planned for experienced Workampers to share and answer questions about the lifestyle.  Representatives from Amazon, DNC Parks and Resorts at Yellowstone, and the U.S..Army Corps of Engineer Volunteer Clearinghouse will take part.

George Montgomery, the RV Tax Master, will provide valuable information on managing finances and taxes while Workamping. Terry Cooper, Jaimie Hall Bruzenak and Arline Chandler will share their years of Workamping experiences and expertise.

From preparing for the Lifestyle, working while traveling, maintaining an RV or travel trailer – to explaining it all to an amazed family, the Rendezvous will be very beneficial to attendees.  To learn more or sign up for the Workamper Rendezvous, click here.

Workamper News has been in existence since 1987.  The term “Workamper” refers to anyone that combines any kind of work while living in an RV.  The RV Camping lifestyle is popular with mostly retired or semi-retired RVers and Workamper News is designed to put Workampers and Employers together.

Workamper News, Inc. is a membership based organization with a print and online publication that primarily focuses on campground jobs, although numerous nontraditional Workamping jobs have begun sprouting across the country.  For example, Amazon is advertising for Workampers at three fulfillment centers in the United States in 2011.  More often than not, state and national parks, campgrounds, resorts, theme parks, and business opportunities advertise for workers through Workamper News. Besides the employer advertisements for Workampers and Situations Wanted Ads posted by Workampers provided in its bi-monthly magazine, Workamper News has an extremely prolific website for its members’ (both Workampers and Employers) benefit.  Marketing tools, webinars, jobinars, forums, Employer Tours and Workamper University train Workampers how to live and work successfully.  Much of the website can be viewed by the general public, which often generates interest in the Workamping lifestyle.  Click here to learn more.
