La Paloma Expands Outpatient Services in East Memphis

La Paloma Treatment Center, a Dual Diagnosis rehab facility in Memphis, Tenn., has opened a new outpatient center in East Memphis.

East Memphis, TN—On Friday, March 18, mental health and addiction treatment professionals gathered to celebrate the grand opening of La Paloma Treatment Center’s new Outpatient Services facility. Located in East Memphis on Brookhaven Circle, the program offers integrated treatment for addiction and mental health issues.

“Many people are unaware that addiction frequently occurs alongside mental and emotional disorders, and that treating both issues simultaneously dramatically increases the sustainability of long‐term recovery,” said Rob Waggener, CEO of Foundations Recovery Network that operates La Paloma Treatment Center. “We see a great need in Memphis for proven treatment methods that address the root causes of addiction.”

According to the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, more than 8 percent of Shelby County residents needed but did not receive treatment for addiction between 2006 and 2008. La Paloma Outpatient Services will provide broader access to addiction and mental health treatment for Memphis residents and those in surrounding counties.

“With an ideal location, an evidence‐based program and a strong focus on treating co‐occurring disorders, La Paloma Outpatient Services will provide a convenient and affordable treatment option for residents of greater Memphis,” said Paige Bottom, CEO of La Paloma Treatment Center.

La Paloma’s outpatient program offers a flexible curriculum of individual and group therapy to accommodate patients’ work and academic schedules. All services are delivered by a specially trained clinical team including a psychotherapist, a psychiatrist and licensed drug and alcohol counselors. Patients will participate in psychiatric evaluation and follow‐up, individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy and educational groups.
