Nearly two weeks after the controversial shooting death of a teenager by Greek police the country remains embroiled in clashes between protesters and officers.
The latest round of violence occurred outside parliament as protesters, marching from a demonstration in Athens, charged riot police and hurled fire bombs while the officers responded by throwing tear gas to disperse the mob.
Protesters have blamed the government for the death of 15-year-old Alexandros Grigoropoulos who was shot and killed by a police officer 12 days ago. According to the police officer he fired a warning shot after a large mob descended on his patrol car. The bullet struck and killed the teenager which sparked instant riots in Athens as well as several other cities in Greece.
The officer that fired the bullet has been arrested and charged with murder yet protesters have called for the removal of the government which they blame for the incident.
