Dwayne Johnson has signed on to star in 'Snitch'.
The 'Tooth Fairy' actor will play a working class man who risks his entire life to save his falsely imprisoned son in the drama movie.
Justin Haythe has scripted the film, which will be directed by former stunt co-ordinator Ric Roman Waugh.
Production will be undertaken by Gordon Gray and David Fanning.
Dwayne - who began his career as a professional wrestler known as The Rock - has a number of big projects in the pipeline, including 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' with Vanessa Hudgens and Kristin Davis and 'Arabian Nights', in which he will play Sinbad.
Discussing his career recently the Hollywood hunk revealed Indiana Jones inspired him to get into acting at the age of eight.
He said: "When I was eight years old, I watched 'Indiana Jones' for the first time. I fell in love with movies then and I wanted to be that guy.
"I was a big fan of 'Harrison Ford' when I was younger, so, even though he wasn't Arnold Schwarzenegger, he was still a guy who was able to kick a*s and be charming and witty and be intelligent. So I loved that!"
