Katie Holmes loves classic look

Katie Holmes loved the classic look she portrays in her new movie.

The actress premiered her debut short film 'The Decision' in New York last night (22.03.11) and Katie revealed she was a big fan of the loose curls and dramatic red lips she sports in the mini-movie which she collaborated on with John Frieda to showcase the company's Precision Foam Colour product.

She said: "You know this was a really fun project to work on and a great opportunity to bridge movies into beauty and I had a wonderful time working with John Frieda. I worked with [celebrity hairstylist] Harry Josh, he did my hair, it was really fun. It was something different, it was sort of a period look, so we had a good time."

The short tells the story of high-profile actress Joan Hudson (Katie) who decides to sack her hair colourist and dye her own hair instead and Katie revealed she loved working on a project that her fans can relate to.

She explained to 'Entertainment Tonight': "I love the idea of doing a short film about something I feel is really important to women. I also love being part of promoting a product that is available to all women."
